My philosophy around individual therapy is that you already have so much strength and resilience inside you, that you are naturally oriented for growth and survival, and you have been created in wonder. My goal is to foster a space for your unique identity to be appreciated, celebrated and strengthened, and to understand your current barriers given your specific context.
I am already inspired by your individual walk and the courage and openness it takes to arrive at this point. Individual therapy is a space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly, and as your therapist I am here to support your process and goals. I believe you are the expert of your life, and I the expert in tools, skills and techniques that facilitate your work through current barriers. I do not believe being a therapist means nodding along and agreeing with you, instead I take an active role in exploring topics that are avoided, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and provide new perspectives.
Explore anxiety, how it shows up inside your body, and learn new coping skills and techniques to facilitate the way you move through it.
Receive support in understanding your current symptoms, explore contributing factors, and learn new skills to cope and move through life on your terms.
Stress can be supportive and instrumental to our approach and activation with life, however when it becomes overwhelming, it can turn to distress and impact functioning. Learn new skills to shift your relationship with stress.
Explore patterns that have you feeling stuck in the same cycle and not understanding why. You can learn new ways to relate to yourself, change beliefs about who you are in relationships, and learn how to ask for the relationship you want.
Explore fears, anxieties, and discomfort keeping you from the intimacy and sex you desire. Learn new techniques on how to relate to your body differently and feel safe and confident when exploring your sexuality.
There are numerous variables that can impact our identity, and at times we can begin to not feel so connected to ourselves. In therapy, we explore the different facets of identity, learn ways to relate to yourself and others, as well as learn to step into who you are and what you want in life.
Low self-esteem can impact all areas of our lives. In therapy we can uproot beliefs keeping you down, learn ways to create new opportunities for confidence, and relate to yourself in a way you appreciate.
Change in jobs, living situations, relationships, and family dynamics can impact our functioning and how we feel about ourselves and others. Learn how to more through your transition with compassion, grace, and acceptance.
